Info Geosciences successfully contributed with valuable consultancy and technology development to his client IDX20, for the completion of an important Grant awarded by the prestigeous Reagan-Udall's Foundation to IDX20. The achievements of the research and development work were two-fold. They involve (1) the formulation of a predictive computational technology to appraise the real-world performance of antigen tests based on quantitative evaluation of the devices combined with the characterization of the visual result assestment habilities of the user population, and (2) a technology based on image processing to further appraise signal and concentration from the antigen test intensity.
To complement its advanced technologies and software for seismic inversion and reservoir characterization Info Geosciences continue its developments of 3-dimensional visualization tools for display, quality control, processing and interpretation of multi-disciplinary reservoir and seismic data. The visual interface allows the joint visualization of wells, well-logs, horizons, seismic data and attributes with easy processes for integrating the information, image processing and color management.
As part of a project oriented to the mitigation of Covid-19 epidemics requested by his client IDX20, Info Geosciences developed techniques to model the epidemics dynamics adapted to de evaluation of the impact of frequent antigen testing. The simulation showed that consecutive rapid testing is an effective tool in controling the epidemics, strongly reducing the reproduction number. For this purpose frequent testing can be applied to priority groups of the population.
Dr. Miguel Bosch, CEO of Info Geosciences, has been distinguished as SEG Honorary Lecturer of the year 2021 for the Latin American region. Dr. Bosch has extensive experience in the development of technology related to seismic inversion. He will discuss of present and future lines in the development of technology applied to seismic inversion and its impact on the O&G industry, including full waveform inversion, rock physics model constraints, geostatistics, and the development of intelligent methods for the construction of predictive reservoir models.

Info Geosciences explore activities in partnership with SeisPetro Geosoftware. The Companies consider combining service expertise using advanced seismic analysis tools, including multicomponent seismic, P and S joint reflection seismic inversion, and multi-azimuthal seismic analysis applied to the characterization of fracture systems. SeisPetro specializes Rock Physics and fracture system characterization, with its own developed technology. It is directed by Dr. Reinaldo Michelena, a geophysicist with ample experience in conventional and unconventional reservoir characterization.
Info Geosciences developed a six-month project for New Stratus Energy and Montajes JM, which involved: seismic processing, seismic inversion, time to depth conversion, seismic characterization and interpretation, based on 3D and 2D seismic lines. The objectives were to improve the quality of the seismic image, estimate elastic and reservoir properties from seismic reflections, accurately transform the information to depth domains, and updated the delineation of prospects for the VMM-18 Block in Colombia. This work is part of New Stratus Energy's field exploration activities in South America.
Info Geosciences and Red Tree Consulting explore possible undertakings in projects related to the development of services and technology for the sustainable development of the O&G industry. Dr. Herminio Passalaqua, owner and technical director of Red Tree Consulting has extensive experience in hydrocarbon exploration and production in the Middle East and South Americas, especially in the fields of electric, electromagnetic methods, and integration. The topics of interest for both companies are the development of imaging technologies for the subsurface, CO2 sequestration and storage, Geophysical Prospecting for Groundwater.
Dr. Miguel Bosch, CEO of Info Geosciences, will present a technical talk describing Info Geosciences new proprietary technology for target oriented elastic Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) based on intesity focused seismic data.
Dr. Miguel Bosch, CEO of Info Geosciences, delivers a technical talk organized by the Colombian Association of Petroleum Geologists and Geophysicists (ACGGP) as part of the association Webinar Series. The last decade in Colombia oil and gas industry was characterized by a large increase in production. New technologies, including advanced inversion methods, played a role in the developments. In this talk, Dr. Bosch reviewed advanced applications of seismic inversion for reservoir characterization in Colombian oil and gas fields, involving accurate lithology description and fluid discrimination in the case of gas fields and oil in the Llanos Basin. He also describes a particular case of seismic 4D monitoring of a process of secondary recovery using burn-in techniques.
Info Geosciences have developed for more than 6 years a research plan on the application of elastic Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) for reservoir characterization. In this line, Info Geosciences has developed conventional and advanced algorithms for elastic FWI, innovating on several fronts. The intensity focused elastic FWI is our proprietary technology for efficient seismic FWI of seismic data applied for reservoir description and characterization.
The U-Pitch program of the Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTEC) is a special session directed to the discussion of development plans between investors and businesses involved in new technology in the sector of the oil and gas industry. Info Geosciences presented plans for the development of advanced integrated reservoir model building methods.
